What industries do you supply?

JL Metal UK supports a wide range of sectors, including construction machinery, automotive, motorsport, military and defence, fleet and commercial vehicles, expedition and off‑road equipment, and various specialist manufacturing industries.

Do you export to the UK?

Yes. More than half of our total production output is exported to the UK, supplying components to established manufacturers and specialist vehicle builders across the country.

What types of products do you manufacture?

Our portfolio includes welded tubular structures, fuel tanks, exhaust components, gym and water‑sports equipment, paragliding structures, trailers, and many other products made from diverse metal alloys.

Design & Engineering

Do you offer design support or development services?

Yes. We work closely with clients to support product development, design for manufacture (DFM) improvements and efficient production planning. Our experienced team and strong technical resources allow us to take on complex engineering challenges with confidence.

Can you handle complex or custom components?

AbsolutelyJL Metal UK specialises in complex welded assemblies, precision‑formed tubes, CNC‑machined parts and intricate plate components, all produced through tightly controlled in‑house processes.

Do you work with clients on long‑term development projects?

Yes. Many of our partnerships span years, with components such as vehicle roll cages and construction equipment being produced for long‑standing customers and fitted to thousands of vehicles worldwide.

Finishing & Surface Protection

What surface preparation methods do you use?

We offer grit blasting to SA 2.5 standards, ensuring a clean, uniform surface that promotes strong coating adhesion and long‑term durability.

What powder coating options are available?

We use zinc‑enriched primers and premium Akzo Nobel powders, supported by rigorous testing including 1000‑hour salt spray resistance, coating thickness checks, gloss measurement and adhesion testing. A wide range of colours is also available.

Can you provide corrosion‑resistant finishes for harsh environments?

Yes. Our preparation and coating processes are designed to deliver long‑lasting protection, suitable for military, off‑road, expedition and industrial applications.

Logistics & Delivery

How do you pack and ship components?

We use a variety of robust packing methods, including container loading and reusable stillages, all compliant with ISPM15 standards for international shipments.

Do you deliver across the UK?

Yes. With extensive logistics experience and established transport networks, we deliver reliably and efficiently throughout the UK.

Can you support high‑volume or scheduled deliveries?

Yes. Our production planning and logistics systems support just‑in‑time delivery, repeatable batch production and long‑term supplprogrammes.

Manufacturing Capabilities

What in‑house processes do you offer?

All core production processes are carried out under one roof, including:

  •  CNC tube cutting, bending and profiling
  •  CNC plate cutting and forming
  •  MIG, MAG and TIG welding (manual and robotic)
  •  CNC machining, including 5‑axis capability
  •  Grit blasting and surface preparation
  •  Powder coating and final assembly

This integrated approach ensures full control over quality, accuracy and lead times.

What tube sizes can you process?

We work with tube diameters from 19 mm to 89 mm, offering stack mandrel bending, push bending and rolling to achieve multiple radii within a single component.

What plate thicknesses can you cut and form?

Our CNC cutting equipment processes materials up to 20 mm thick, supported by extensive forming equipment such as press brakes, power presses and high‑volume press tooling.

Materials & Supply Chain

Where do you source your materials?

We source directly from the mill, using high‑quality European steel with full traceability and mill certification. This ensures consistent material integrity and reliable supply.

Do you maintain stock for high‑volume production?

Yes. With around 50,000 metres of tube held in stock, we maintain stable supply and avoid market fluctuations, supporting both ongoing production and urgent requirements.

Quality & Compliance

How do you ensure product quality?

Quality is built into every stage of production through skilled staff, modern machinery, strict process control and close client collaboration. Our systems support reliable, repeatable and precise manufacturing.

Which standards do you comply with?

We work confidently within a wide range of internationally recognised standards, including:

  • PWPS and WPS welding specifications
  • ISO 9606 welder certification
  • ISO 13920 general tolerances for welded constructions
  •  ISO 12944 protective paint systems
  •  ISO 8130 coating powders
  •  ISO 9227 neutral salt spray testing

Do you provide full material traceability?

Yes we canAll of our materials are fully traceable, supported by mill certificates and controlled documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
